In order to advocate for the safe abandonment of children we installed a Baby Saver where helpless mothers can bring their unwanted babies.
It is a metal container that is connected to an alarm system which will immediately send a signal to a security company as well as the
director of our organisation. The babies will be safe at this drop-off point, as the box can only be opened from the inside of the house.
Babies that are put in the baby saver will directly be transferred to medical care.
The Baby Saver is installed at our Family Center in Steenberg:
