Baby Saver

We understand that the current childrens act does not make provisions for safe relinquishing and there for when women places there baby in the baby save they still stand a chance to be criminalize. In order to advocate for the safe abandonment of children we installed a Baby Saver where helpless mothers can bring their unwanted babies to the baby saver. It is a metal container that is connected to a silent alarm system which will immediately send a signal to a security company as well as the director of our organisation. The babies will be safe at this drop-off point, as the box can only be opened from the inside of the house. Babies that are put in the baby saver will directly be transferred to medical care and the department of social development child protection will be immediately alerted which will then take responsibility for the care and protection of the baby saver
